About the Moroccan national team newspaper – Written by: Badr Al-Din Al-Idrisi
Africa appreciates the extraordinary effort made by Cameroon and then Côte d’Ivoire to organize an African Cup of Nations with 24 teams, equivalent to almost half of the continent’s countries, with stadiums that were built or modernized with very large financial budgets, in difficult economic times, especially since the Confederation of African Football, at the insistence of Morocco, raised the ceiling of demands high and updated the burdens, with the aim of reaching acceptable levels in receiving and housing the African stars, the main creators of the continent’s celebration. However, Africa firmly believes, in its overwhelming majority, not in its marginal exception, that Morocco will organize an exceptional and distinctive version of the African Cup of Nations this year. It is an exceptional version, because the elements of organizational success that will be available to it, will make it rise to the levels that encourage creativity and the creation of collective celebration, as Morocco will organize this continental competition with international specifications, meaning that many of the logistical elements in the organization will be in line with the World Cup standard more than the African standard, and this is something that will make all 23 African teams that will participate with the Moroccan team at the moment of celebration and writing a new football epic for the continent feel mentally and psychologically comfortable, as nothing in the organization was left to chance. It is a distinctive version in the history of the African Cup of Nations, because it will create a new era for the continent’s World Cup in which the ultimate quality is an element that must not be neglected in the future, and this is a heavy responsibility that Morocco will place on the shoulders of the Confederation of African Football, so that it will no longer allow, whatever the considerations, contexts, and even artificial excuses, to go back and give up the gains that this cup will gain while it is organized in the most splendid and beautiful form in Morocco. So why is Africa confident in us to give it the most beautiful and enjoyable version of the dream, hope and future cup?
The confidence comes from what Africans see from Morocco, in its full commitment to its historical responsibility towards Africa, as a title of connection and evidence of commitment to a common destiny, and an expression of the will to collectively advance the continent to prevail and dominate.
The confidence comes from what Morocco offers to Africa as a living model of the continent’s potential to take off with the wings of dream and challenge to win the bet of globality. What Morocco has succeeded in providing logistically in terms of vehicles, facilities and infrastructure, some of which surpass the sports infrastructure of the old continent, and what the Atlas Lions have obtained in terms of historical favor as they break the barrier preventing an African team from reaching the semi-finals of the World Cup, are all things that ignite the minds of Africans and inspire them, and even guide them to the path of glory and crystallization of brilliance. If Morocco did it, then what African countries from north to south and from east to west would not do.
Africa trusts Morocco because it is aware of its philosophy of commitment to commitments, and CAF trusts Morocco to give it the best version of the biggest competition, because it is confident in the strength of its accumulated experiences, that it has the tools to raise the CAN to high levels of quality. Morocco thanks you for the trust..
