With hearts reassured and satisfied with God’s will and destiny, the Moroccan Association for Sports Journalism, a member of its former executive office, mourns the departure of the great media colleague, Mohamed Al-Azzawi, who passed away in the early hours of Thursday, April 6, 2023, at the age of 68.
The deceased of the national sports press passed the soul to its deceased at Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Rabat, in these blessed and fragrant days of the holy month of Ramadan, after long suffering with the disease, as he showed God’s mercy on him throughout the period of affliction with the disease, patience, steadfastness, and contentment with what God had divided.
The late great colleague, Mhamed Al-Azzawi, is one of the prominent national media figures, as he devoted his entire media path to serving the national radio, which he joined in 1980, immediately after graduating from the Higher Institute of Journalism in Rabat, and he contributed, may God have mercy on him, in fertilizing the national sports field, through programs and seminars. And debates, follow-ups, and keeping up with major sporting events, nationally and internationally, with a sensitive sense of criticism, unique approaches, and wonderful expressive eloquence, as he showed great skill in managing the sports section of the national radio from 1990 until 2013, during which he will become director of the production and programming department until 2015, the year of his retirement.
And the Moroccan Association for Sports Journalism, as it expresses its deep sorrow and sorrow for the departure of one of the sports media summits in our country, and one of the most prominent members of its previous executive offices, as the two media and sports families share the pain of separation, it offers its sincere condolences and sincere condolences to his wife, media colleague Fatima Touati, his children and all family members, Asking God Almighty to bless our great deceased with the abundance of his mercy and dwell him in his spacious gardens next to the prophets, the truthful ones, the martyrs, the righteous, and the best of those are companions.
