Today, Thursday, the Sheraton Club witnessed the launch of the second Republic Darts Championship, organized by the Egyptian Darts Federation, with the participation of about 200 players representing the areas and clubs of the Federation in each of the governorates of Port Said, Ismailia, Qena, Alexandria and Fayoum.
Where they compete in adult competitions over 18 years old, and juniors under 18 years of both sexes for singles, doubles, and teams, and the tournament is a basic basis for qualifying male and female players for the Arab Cup, which will be held in the brotherly Arab state of Bahrain at the end of this year, as well as the first African Cup, which will be held in Tunisia. For his part, Major General Yahya Abdel Qader, President of the Egyptian, Arab and African Federation of Darts Sports, said: “It was decided to hold the tournament in the Club Club, Sheraton branch, in implementation of the vision of Dr. Republic”. He added, “The club’s branch in Sheraton will be a regional center for darts in the practice and championship sectors, thanks to the directives of the Minister of Youth and Sports. In order to create a new generation of Egyptian youth capable of representing Egypt in international forums, and maintaining excellence in the game.” Abdul Qadir thanked the Board of Trustees of the Club, the Sheraton branch, headed by Ahmed El-Salab, who is quick to provide all the requirements of the federation for the success of the Second Republic Darts Championship, with the club’s great potential.
