The head of the Mini Volleyball Committee emanating from the Kuwaiti Olympic Committee, Hassan Al-Khawaja, announced the launch date of the first Palestine Cup for Mini Volleyball in Kuwait in the adult and junior categories at the late Samir Saeed Stadium in the Social Cultural Committee stadiums in Hawalli Maidan, with the participation of 16 teams in the adult category and 8 for children.
In the press conference held at the headquarters of the Social Cultural Committee, Al-Khawaja revealed the extent of official, popular and sporting support and interest for this tournament, which is being organized for the first time, thanking the sponsors and their support for their children in Gaza and Palestine.
The conference was attended by member of the Mini Committee, Qul Abdullah Al-Majadi, and head of the Kuwait Coordination Committee of the External Palestinian Popular Conference, Nader Abu Hanina.
For his part, Al-Jadi said that the technical aspect includes the participation of 16 teams for adults and 8 for children, in the presence of referees from the Kuwait Football Association, reviewing the schedule of the tournament that starts from February 14 to February 18.
He added that the tournament and its teams, which bore names from Palestine, are open to the participation of all nationalities in Kuwait, announcing at the same time that the number of participating teams with the opening of the door for participation reached 40 teams.
It is noteworthy that the prizes were determined as follows: For the adult category, the first place holder receives 600 Kuwaiti dinars, the second 300 dinars, and the third 100 dinars, while the first place holder in the children category, born (11-13 years old), receives.
One gets 300 dinars and the other 100 dinars.
It is noteworthy that the press conference witnessed the participation of the Mini Goul ambassador, the Algerian sports commentator Hafid Darraji, and the Palestinian journalist Hassan Badr, through two recorded speeches to the audience, after which an explanatory video was shown of the work of the sponsors supporting the tournament in providing relief to the Palestinian people, and to a number of Gazan children thanking the Mini Goul and the sponsors as well.
