The Local Organizing Committee for the Qatar Asian Cup 2023 announced that the first batch of tickets for the continental championship matches had been sold out, with more than 150,000 tickets sold during the first days of the start of sales.
Sales witnessed a wide turnout from fans from all over the continent, who rushed to buy tickets for the first batch issued by the local organizing committee for the tournament, which will issue more tickets in the near future.
Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and India topped the countries that bought tickets most in the world. The total number of sales reached 81,209 tickets during the first 24 hours after the tournament organizers announced the start of sales on October 10.
24 teams from the continent of Asia are scheduled to compete in the jewel of the continental championships, which will witness the whistle blowing of 51 matches in nine stadiums built according to the highest international standards, during the period from January 12 to February 10, 2024, as Qatar prepares to host the Asian Cup for the third time, after… It succeeded in organizing the prestigious tournament twice before, in 1988 and 2011.
The opening match of the 2023 Asian Cup will be held between Qatar, the host and defending champions, and Lebanon, at the Lusail World Cup Stadium, which has a capacity of approximately 88,000 seats, and is also scheduled to host the final of the upcoming Asian Championship. The famous Lusail Stadium, located in the modern city of Lusail, witnessed the final match of the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Ticket prices for group stage matches start at 25 Qatari riyals and can be purchased online through the official ticket sales website: (http://asiancup2023.qa). Fans from outside Qatar can purchase tickets from the same website. It is noteworthy that the “Haya” card is not mandatory to enter the stadiums.
Fans can choose to attend their favorite team’s matches through various ticket packages. All stadiums hosting the tournament have accessible seating, including seats for people with special needs and seats for people with limited mobility, ensuring a comfortable and barrier-free experience.
With the close distances that characterize Qatar, fans will have the opportunity to attend more than one match per day, as the longest distance between two stadiums in the tournament does not exceed 75 km.
