Al-Jawker: Version 2023 is a gift for the brothers in Mesopotamia from the Emirates
Colleague Muhammad Al-Jawker inaugurated his new edition today at the residence of VIP delegations, where Ahmed Al-Mubarqa, Minister of Youth and Sports and Governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, and Captain Adnan Darjal received it. The great sports writer and historian, colleague Muhammad Al-Jawker, Secretary-General of the Sports Media Association in the country, returns with the advent of the new year 2023 with his renewed publication of the book (Gulf Cup Shabtni) in celebration of the No. 25 edition of the Arab Gulf Cup for football hosted by the Republic of Iraq in Basra Al-Fayhaa during the period from 6- Next January 19, after a decades-long absence from the stadiums of Mesopotamia.
And it comes to launch its new version beginning in conjunction with the opening ceremony of the tournament matches, whose matches will be held in the city of Basra (southern Iraq) at the Sports City and Al-Mina stadiums with the participation of delegations and teams of the eight countries of the region, namely our national team, Bahrain (the defending champion) and Kuwait (the record holder in the number of times winning) and Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman and Yemen, along with Iraq (the host country).
The colleague, Al-Jawker, presented the book in the new edition in a different way, as it comes in an interesting narration style across 200 pages in the book of large pieces, containing 9 chapters, each of which has a specificity. Qatar and record in it the interaction of the wise leadership in the UAE with the event and its results and success that exceeded description to be an introduction to the book.
In the second, third and fourth chapters, the writer sheds light on the role of the wise leadership in the United Arab Emirates in supporting sports and pushing the country’s people towards progress and competition vigorously, recalling the role and fingerprints of the late founder, God willing, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan – may God rest his soul – and the support and encouragement from His His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State – may God protect him – and his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai – may God protect him – recalling their wise stances and support for Emirati and Gulf football.
In the fifth, seventh, eighth and ninth chapters, the colleague, Al-Jawker, dealt with the extended relationship between the Emirates and Iraq since the declaration and establishment of the United Arab Emirates and the development of the stages of sports. Colleague Muhammad Al-Joker says about his new publication that it is the juice of effort and long work. He lived most of his periods since his boyhood days, as he accompanied the launch of the oldest tournament and championship since its inception, then followed and attended it as a journalist in the fourth session. Al-Jawker confirms that the experience of the new edition was preceded by many experiences in issuing books for this session. The year 1994 witnessed the first book he published about the Gulf Cup tournaments in 1994 in (Gulf 12), after which he continued a march full of publications, and his book in 2023 reached 20 books in which he documented all of them. For Emirates and Gulf Sports, while his new publication is a continuation with his previous book, which bore the same title and was launched ten years ago with the Gulf Cup 2013.
