The evening of the celebration of the Emirati football twins, Issa and Ibrahim Mir, witnessed a number of figures from the golden era of Emirati football. This golden era witnessed qualification for the World Cup in Italy in 1986, winning silver and bronze medals at the Asian Cup in 1996 and 2015, and winning the Gulf Cup twice. A number of administrators, technicians, and veteran players were present. Major General Salem Obaid Al Shamsi, Director of the National Teams in the early 1980s, was also present, along with the esteemed coach Muhajerani. Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, was Director of the National Teams in the 1980s, along with Brazilian Carlos Alberto. Hamad bin Brook, a seasoned sportsman with strong relationships with top coaches, was also present. Abdullah Ibrahim, considered the happiest manager in the history of the national team, accompanied the Whites to the final Asian qualifiers in Singapore in 1989, and with world-class coach Mario Zagallo, which culminated in our historic qualification to the 1990 World Cup in Italy. Two veteran members from that golden era, Obaid Salem and Abdul Mohsen Al Dosari, were also present. And Abdul Malik Jani and others, and I was also happy with the presence of the gazelle of Emirati football, Jassim Mohammed, despite his health conditions, who was keen to participate, and the stars Adnan Al-Talyani, Khaled Ismail, Ali Thani, Youssef Hussein, Azouz and others, and the most beautiful thing was the presence of the best national coaches in the history of the game, namely Mahdi Ali, the owner of great achievements at the level of the national teams, and the honorable coach Abdul Aziz Al-Anbari, the owner of the famous championship with his club, Sharjah, after an absence of 26 years.. These beautiful names that were present in the hall of the Golf and Shooting Club in Sharjah during the Sharjah Sports Council celebration reminded me of the good days and took me back to the beautiful time. I hope that we benefit from these occasions and always meet for goodness and love, and we remind today’s generation of the competencies who gave the essence of their efforts in order to develop football in the country..
