Manal Abu Al-Ela, Deputy Director of the International Women’s Martial Arts Federation (IWKBF) for the Middle East and Africa, Editor-in-Chief of SME News Dubai, and a sports trainer and nutritionist, confirmed to Sayidaty magazine that women’s empowerment under Saudi Vision 2030 has completely changed the course of her life. She believes that what she has achieved would not have been possible without this major national transformation.
Manal said, “I never imagined that I would become a captain and enjoy this widespread fame without the vision and women’s empowerment.” She noted that the vision has not only impacted her professional career, but has also granted her personal independence, enabling her to rely on herself in everything she does: “It made me not need anyone… I persevered, studied, worked… and took off.”
She added that Vision 2030 not only developed infrastructure, but also brought about a radical change in the lifestyle of Saudi women, opening up new horizons for them in education, work, health, and sports.
Manal concluded by saying, “Before the vision, Saudi women were held back and suppressed. Today, when they saw empowerment, they took off.”
