After the Egyptian king and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah was subjected to a barrage of criticism because of his relatively slow season, in which he scored only seven goals, which led to his club falling to tenth place in the English Premier League table, after many teams that defeated them in the past, such as Fulham, Brighton and Brentford teams, Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp rose up to defend the Salah star with all force, to support the golden Egyptian icon who gave so much to the English club.
He won many awards and honors in the past two years, and Liverpool climbed to the top, to seize the FA Cup and the European Football Association Cup.
Criticism focused on the decline in Salah’s level since he signed his last contract with the club and the lack of motivation, while Klopp defended him, saying: “These things will not be Mo’s problem.”
“Mo is a world-class athlete, so he’s first in and last out, training hard to get to the top,” he added. “You can’t score as many goals as Mo if you’re not a world-class footballer.”
