The International Backgammon Federation held a camp under the leadership of the Italian Khyber Club, which will conclude tomorrow, with the participation of male and female players from all African countries participating in the tournament.
The importance of the tournament lies in its being one of the qualifying tournaments for the 2024 Paris Olympics
The holding of the Paralympic tournament comes days after table tennis participated in the African Women’s Championship in Tunisia, through which the men’s and women’s teams qualified for the Olympics, in addition to singles and mixed doubles.
The Paralympic table tennis team participated in the Saudi International Championship competitions, and succeeded in achieving 19 various medals in the individual competitions, divided into 6 gold and 8 silver, in addition to 5 bronze. The gold medals were achieved by Fayza Mahmoud, Sayed Sika, Ayman Al-Zanati, Sameh Eid, and Abdel Rahman. Abdel Wahab, in addition to Mamdouh Tamam.
