SME/HOUSTON, Texas, August 18, 2025
Golf Crest in Pearland, Texas, will host the Aramco Houston Championship, a PIF World Series event, from September 5 to 7. The tournament will feature the world’s elite women’s golfers at one of the premier courses south of central Houston.
Golf Saudi has chosen Houston as the penultimate stop on this season’s PIF World Series calendar, a strategic move that aligns with its vision to strengthen its presence in one of the most vibrant and diverse golf communities in the United States. With its rich sporting heritage, growing market, and deep ties to Saudi Arabia, Houston is an ideal destination to showcase Golf Saudi’s commitment to promoting the game globally.
This approach reflects Golf Saudi’s alignment with its broader strategy to attract future investment through pioneering initiatives such as the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Elevated Green sessions, which bring together thought leaders and senior officials. The selection of Golf Crest, with its world-class facilities and welcoming environment, reinforces its position as an ideal venue to engage with new audiences, expand international connections, and highlight the values of innovation, inclusivity, and sporting excellence that underpin Golf Saudi’s mission.
The tournament represents the penultimate stop on the PIF World Series, a recently launched initiative on the Ladies European Tour (LET) and supported by the Public Investment Fund (PIF). The goal is to accelerate the growth of women’s golf globally by organizing world-class tournaments, expanding participation opportunities, and showcasing top talent in international markets.
This tournament marks the first time the tournament has been held in Texas, following the previous US stop, the Aramco Team Series, organized by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), in Tampa, Florida.
Rene Rangel, General Manager of Golf Crest, said:
Hosting the Aramco Houston Championship is a historic moment for the club. Our course was designed to challenge the elite, and we are excited to see it rise to the top of the international calendar. Joining the PIF World Series further cements Golf Crest’s position among the world’s elite, and we are committed to delivering a tournament experience worthy of this high caliber.
For her part, Rania Biltaji, Aramco’s Head of Global Partnerships, said: “Aramco has a long-standing relationship with the city of Houston spanning more than 50 years through research and development centers, innovative partnerships, and community initiatives. We are delighted to add to this journey with the Aramco Houston Championship, supporting the growth of women’s golf and inspiring the next generation of players.”
The tournament embodies Golf Saudi’s commitment to opening new horizons for the world’s best players and strengthening the game’s international ecosystem. Following remarkable successes in Saudi Arabia, Korea, and England, the Saudi Golf Federation continues its efforts not only by providing world-class competitive opportunities but also by organizing interactive events and activities targeting various age groups and levels, enhancing the game’s presence and highlighting the Kingdom as a leading destination for golf, tourism, and investment.
The list of participants includes a group of elite Golf Saudi ambassadors, led by world number 18 Celine Boutier, alongside Dutchwoman Anne van Dam, Spanishwoman Carlota Ciganda, and American crowd favorite Danielle Kang.
