Prime Minister, Eng. Hussein Arnous, met this morning with Dr. Adel Fahim, Vice President of the International Federation for Bodybuilding and Physical Fitness, President of the Arab Federation, and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, the importance of sport in the culture of peoples and the increasing importance it enjoys in public opinion throughout the world, transcending all political and geographical borders, was emphasized, in addition to its role in developing joint Arab action and in the life of nations in general by bringing peoples closer and strengthening relations between different countries. Eng. Arnous drew attention to the support provided by the Syrian state to various types of sports activities and distinguished Syrian athletes locally and internationally, expressing welcome to the establishment of sports tournaments in Syria, and its willingness to host any tournament as it has a sports infrastructure spread over the national geography.
For his part, Fahim gave an explanation about the Master of the Universe International Championship for Bodybuilding, which is held in the Sahara Complex in the countryside of Damascus, with the participation of 200 players from 6 countries, pointing to the importance of holding the championship in Syria, which has faced great challenges over the past 12 years and has maintained its national and national positions that it is proud of. The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Qais Muhammad Khader, Omar Al-Aroub, Vice President of the General Sports Federation, a number of members of the Executive Office of the General Sports Federation, and Manar Heikal, President of the West Asian Federation for Bodybuilding and Fitness.
