I find some from time to time come up and say that this journalist or that player deserves to be honored or chosen, O Minister of Youth and Sports, you have to honor so-and-so, O President of the Football Association, or O Chairman of the Media Committee, you have to take so-and-so to accompany the teams, as if he is the one who understands, commands and forbids, and his words are dustless. While you find him speaking very ignorantly..
In fact, it is a matter of shame that one of us underestimates the capabilities of any person.
But for each one of us to become an expert and say what he wants as if he is a guardian suggesting the imposition of a fait accompli in his theses or comments, and depicting to others that he is the one who has insight and understanding and the rest is a mob. Especially in recent years or decades, so to speak, and for this reason we have been lagging far behind others..and thus forced us to write frankly and clearly and say that in the whole world there are precise criteria in the process of selecting and honoring players or media professionals and accompanying them and attending tournaments. The media person is uniquely The most important interface for his country, it is necessary when he is present in a tournament that he has a distinguished presence and that he has a fingerprint and a name that precedes him, and this applies to the athlete as well, and this is often how we see attendance from all Arab countries and other countries when they participate in sports tournaments.
I remember a media person once asked about the first Arab team to win the Asian Cup, but he stammered and began to come up with incorrect names. The last time he was asked a question about how many times Iraq won the Gulf Cup.
He didn’t get an answer.. Imagine a media person comes and participates in a championship and doesn’t know about its history.
Isn’t this an image affecting the reputation of the country to which it belongs? That is why others focus completely on the issue of media invitations and their escort to their countries’ national teams. As the issue is not a picture and two words, peace be upon you..
