Today I was honored to visit the Qatar Press Center, which was established seven years ago at the request of several media institutions in the State of Qatar. The visit and inspection tour of the center was attended by Ali Al Mahmoud, and it is headed by Mr. Saad Al Rumaihi, one of the well-known sports media leaders and the great position he enjoys as Chairman of the Board of Directors, which the Qatar Center aims to achieve. For the press to contribute to the development of media and journalistic work, and to pay attention to the affairs of media professionals in accordance with Qatar Vision 2030, which made investing in people one of its top priorities.
The center will be a media and journalism club in Qatar, and will hold events throughout the year, issue research and studies concerned with the field of media and journalism, in addition to establishing partnerships with relevant authorities and similar centers and clubs.
