Sheikh Talal Al-Muhammad Al-Sabah, Chairman of the Bowling Club and President of the Asian and International Federations, confirmed that the Executive Office of the International Federation approved Kuwait’s hosting of the next World Championship, which will be held from 3 to 18 October, during the meeting held in Kuwait on May 10.
Al-Muhammad explained that the members of the Executive Office of the International Federation were briefed during the meeting on the preparations and equipment that Kuwait made to host the tournament, as it became clear to them through the visits they made and the explanation they listened to that all the required conditions are available, whether at the level of facilities or residence, in accordance with the regulations and systems in force and required. To host this global event, adding that the General Assembly of the International Bowling Federation will hold a meeting in Kuwait on October 6 to elect a new board of directors.
Al-Muhammad stressed that the success of this global sporting event is the responsibility of everyone and requires cooperation, hard work, harnessing all capabilities and overcoming all obstacles in order for the championship to come out in a manner befitting the name of Kuwait, after everyone witnessed it with good organization and distinction during hosting the Asian Championship, which achieved impressive success at all levels.
Al-Mohammed indicated that the Executive Office approved, during its meeting, the previous minutes and approved the financial and administrative report. It also agreed that Colombia would host the World Championship over 50 and 60 years, during the period from 2 to 13 December.
