Within 48 hours…the Abu Dhabi Professional Jiu-Jitsu Association organizes 6 tournaments in 6 different countries

The Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu Professionals Association (AJP) is organizing the China International Championship on Saturday and Sunday, June 1 and 2, which is considered one of the largest and most important events on the association’s calendar this season, as it witnesses the participation of more than 1,000 male and female players from 27 countries around the world from 99 academies and clubs.
The event will be held in the Chinese capital, Beijing, to consolidate the strong relations between the Emirati and Chinese peoples, especially in the sports field, and in line with the successes achieved by the Abu Dhabi Professional Jiu-Jitsu Association in the People’s Republic of China, as the last tournament held there last March witnessed the interest of more than 50 million followers. During this May, World Vision Investment Company, the organizing body for the Abu Dhabi Professional Jiu-Jitsu Association and Abu Dhabi Extreme Championships, signed a joint cooperation agreement with the Chinese Shanxi Media Network Group, to expand its fan base around the world in the sport of Jiu-Jitsu, and broadcast its held tournaments. In China through the media network, which has an average viewership of one billion followers, including the upcoming tournament and opening new horizons for cooperation and cultural and sports exchange between the UAE and China.
The holding of this tournament comes as one of 6 tournaments organized by the Abu Dhabi Professional Jiu-Jitsu Association, in 6 different countries, in just 48 hours, between Saturday and Sunday, June 1 and 2, with a total participation of 2,240 male and female players, as the Graz International Championship will be held in Austria on Saturday. June 1, with the participation of more than 300 male and female players from 30 different countries from 38 academies.
The Eastern Russian Regional Championship of the Abu Dhabi Professional Jiu-Jitsu Association will be held on Saturday, June 1, with the participation of 120 male and female players, and the Bishkek International Championship in Kyrgyzstan on the same day, with the participation of 358 male and female players.
On Sunday, June 2, two tournaments will be held: the Estonia International Championship with the participation of 273 male and female players from 26 academies from 18 countries, and the Luanda Jiu-Jitsu Festival in Angola, with the participation of 156 male and female players.
Regarding these upcoming events, Tariq Al-Bahri, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Professional Jiu-Jitsu Association, said: “We are proud to organize the next championship in the Republic of China, and this confirms the established and strong UAE-Chinese relations, which are strongly embodied through the sport of Jiu-Jitsu, as China is historically considered one of the countries that began practicing Jiu-Jitsu.” Which made us place it on our global map as one of the important strategic locations for building the future of this sport.”
He added: “Jiu-Jitsu brings people together because of the positive values it carries, as it is based on sportsmanship, discipline, respect for the competitor, and building the human being athletically, mentally, and psychologically. This is reflected in the large volume of participation in the Chinese Championship, and the various events in general that are held at the same time, as the Abu Dhabi Professional Association exists. Jiu-Jitsu in 6 different countries this weekend, which confirms the extent of the influence that the Association has in spreading the sport of Jiu-Jitsu around the world, and the demand and development reached by this sport with a prominent international presence.”
