I received, with more sadness, pain, and the shock of sudden separation, the news of the death of my dear brother, colleague Abd al-Hay al-Shafi’i, a companion of the path for a long time in the court of Her Majesty, the day before yesterday, at a time when he was preparing to celebrate the wedding of his youngest daughter, but fate did not give him time, and he met his Lord suddenly. And that is God’s will, and there is no objection to His decree, and we can only say: “The eye sheds tears, and the heart grieves, and I am saddened by your departure, O Abdul Hayy.”
Yes, death is a truth and it is the only truth in life, but the pain of separation is harsh and difficult, especially in people who left behind unforgettable moments, situations, stories and memories that make them, despite their departure from our world, remain in our hearts, until the hour comes and we catch up with them.
And I remember when I met my late colleague for the first time in Al-Bayan newspaper in the mid-nineties, after we contracted with him, to benefit from his efforts, experiences, and successful biography in Egyptian newspapers, as well as during his work in the Omani newspaper Al-Shabiba, and he was already at good faith in him, he was extremely accurate in reading And reviewing all topics, investigations and news, submitted by all colleagues without complaining about them, as he did not leave a stray or an incoming error, but rather was creative in purifying the materials and setting professionally appropriate titles that are consistent with the editorial policy of the newspaper, and as a result of his competence, sincerity and distinction, he continued in “Al-Bayan” He spent many years surrounded by the love and friendship of all the workers in all departments, especially since he was light-hearted, laughing, and not frowning at anyone.
May God have mercy on our brother “Abu Reham”, who left work in the Emirates three years ago, and decided to return to Mahrousa Egypt, where his country of origin is. “The statement”, when we received the news of his departure, and finally I say “Goodbye .. Abdul Hayy”, we will never forget you as long as we live, and no matter what you write and mention of your positions and my memories with you, I will not fulfill your right, may God forgive you and have mercy on you and grant you the highest paradise in Paradise, God willing. May all of us and your family be patient with your separation, “We belong to God and to Him we shall return.”
