A question we direct to all concerned, especially beloved Kuwait, after the negatives and poor organization that occurred during the football match between the two brotherly national teams of Kuwait and Iraq, which was held as part of the Asian qualifiers for the World Cup (2024).

In the same context, the Public Authority for Sports announced that it was decided to present a visual presentation of the organizational plan that includes the procedural guide for organizing the Gulf Championship according to international standards, which will be presented by the Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee for the Gulf Cup, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, the concerned minister, scheduled for October 7, and will be dedicated to clarifying the procedures that the committee will take to organize the championship successfully, after the state pledged to the Gulf Federation supervising the event, the Kuwaiti Football Association announced last night that a committee will be formed to investigate what happened in the Iraq match, and it was decided to suspend the Secretary-General of the Federation and the Director of Public Relations and Media and refer them to investigation!
The summit match witnessed chaos and crowding, which caused a number of fans to crowd inside the corridors of Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, despite the match between the two brotherly teams, Kuwait and Iraq, ending in a goalless draw, and they left “lovers”, but the events of the testimony of this football match began their evil before the match regarding the number of spectators and fans, as opinions differed on this issue, but the intervention of the wise ended the crisis for good, and turned the page on the entry of Iraqi fans into Kuwaiti stadiums, but a state of bad organizational chaos was witnessed before the football match; Due to the poor system, and these unexpected measures from a country we have known since the sixties as an organizer of many Arab sporting events since then, Kuwait has become an example and will remain a model that we are proud of, but what happened in the “Tuesday” match was unexpected, when things got mixed upside down, and events got mixed up suddenly and quickly, and now we are in the second week of this month, and there are less than 4 months left until Kuwait organizes the upcoming 26th Arabian Gulf Cup, so fear worries those around the event and those close to it. Therefore, we call on our brothers to make what they are taking successful in order to host and organize the Gulf wedding, as we loved football and loved it because of the stars of the Blues in the seventies with the launch of the first championship in 1970 in Manama. Today, historical memories are renewed, and hopes, ambitions and wishes are renewed that life will return to its normal form in the field of sports, football, which has become the language and culture of peoples. I believe that the visit currently being made by the Qatari Minister of Sports, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, who previously assumed the presidency of the Football Association in his country, and now assumes the presidency of the Gulf Arab Football Federation in addition to his ministerial position, and hence this meeting that will bring together his Kuwaiti counterpart will also have one of its main themes, the “Gulf Cup” during the next stage. Regarding its fate, I call on our brothers in Kuwait through this platform to benefit from and seek help from the successful Qatari experience. It is not shameful for us to benefit from the experiences of some of our distinguished ones, and Qatar is internationally recognized. All I hope for is that Kuwaiti football and sports in general will emerge from the conflict, and everyone will turn to achieve a clear vision. Kuwait will remain an example that we are proud of and cherish, along with its distinguished sons. Please unite and “love each other, your country needs your support and your support”; so that we can see our “mother” championship, and this is our wish for all of us. And God is behind the intention.
