I was happy to watch the national team appear and play in Dammam, which reminded us of the good results achieved by our youth team during the days of coach Mahdi Ali and our victory in its championship, so that the young players from Dammam would transform and become adults, as we won the Asian and Gulf Championship for the youth category, and we defeated strong teams such as Australia and Uzbekistan in 2009, and won Ahmed Khalil was named the best player on the continent that day.
In those days, the first team was formed properly, accompanied by the president of the federation, Muhammad Khalfan Al-Rumaithi “Bukhaled”, who defined the two slogans of the coach and the national referee, and it had a good effect on them, and from here we must mention the good works. I remembered those beautiful scenes when I found our team yesterday continuing to reap victories, including beating Nepal by four clean goals, in the fifth round of Group H competitions in the second round of the joint Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Asian Cup… I saw a strong team that warmed my heart. It is true that we were happy with the great victory, and my greatest joy is with this generation, which if we give them the full opportunity in our league, we will achieve achievements as we achieved in the days of Mahdi, but unfortunately our vision is to win local championships and compete between clubs.
