The charming city of New Alamein on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea in the Arab Republic of Egypt is witnessing the launch of the activities of the International Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at the University of Alexandria, amid the presence and participation of a group of experts and academics in the tourism sector from all over the Republic in a gathering that is the most wonderful and most attended.
We monitored the nature of Alexandria Tourism’s preparations for this important scientific event with Professor Dr. Abeer Attia, Dean of the College and President of the Conference.
She said: We have noticed that there are current changes at the world level that affect, in one way or another, the tourism sector
We thought that there would be innovation in the tourism industry in light of these contemporary global changes, and from here came the idea of the conference
The conference aims to reach a package of innovative ideas and proposals through which we can advance the tourism sector in Egypt.
The new El Alamein area was chosen in line with the country’s trends towards paying attention to new cities and considering it a cultural model for fourth generation cities, in which environmental aspects and sustainability are taken into account. We also see El Alamein as a natural extension of the city of Alexandria, as it is among the promising new cities for a promising tourist future.
I send a message to the conference guests that we are meeting in all events and conferences related to the tourism sector at the level of the Egyptian state, between Helwan tourism, Alexandria, Upper Egypt, Wajh, Bahri, Qana, and other tourism colleges that create distinctive events that contribute with important recommendations to bring about the hoped-for boom in the tourism sector.
We come together on one lofty goal, which is to advance the Egyptian tourism sector by holding conferences that bring together the academic side and tourism industry people, in addition to those supporting the tourism sector, as one force. We are united by one goal through which we can make the difference and the desired change to bring about a tourism renaissance, and Egypt is a beautiful country that deserves that effort and more.
