27 countries have confirmed their participation in the Egypt International Paralympic Table Tennis Championship, which Egypt is hosting from January 24 to 27.
The tournament will be held at the Dr. Hassan Mustafa Hall Complex on October 6th, which is very important to collect points to qualify for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
The singles competitions are scheduled to be held on the 24th and 25th of January, while the doubles matches will be held on the 26th and 27th of the same month.
27 countries were confirmed to participate, with 184 male and female players as follows:
Belgium – Chile – Czech Republic – Spain – France – Britain – Germany – Hong Kong – Hungary – India – Iraq – Italy – Japan – Kazakhstan – South Korea – Saudi Arabia – Montenegro – Netherlands – Norway – Romania – Slovakia – Sweden – Turkey – Ukraine – Venezuela – Yemen – in addition to Egypt, the host country.
It is noteworthy that Egypt hosted the African Paralympic Table Tennis Championship, which was held during the period from September 21 to the 23 of the same month at the Hassan Mustafa Halls Complex.
The results of the individual competitions resulted in the Egyptian national team winning 27 various medals, including 5 gold, 8 silver, and 14 bronze medals.
