Before our first national holiday, specifically on November 30, 1971, the lady of Arab singing, Umm Kulthum, visited us, and a theater that could accommodate five thousand spectators was prepared for her at the Al Ahli Club in Abu Dhabi (currently Al Wahda). The ceremony was watched by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him. After the ceremony, he honored the great artist, on an occasion we remember, which shows the extent of our leaders’ love for Egypt and its people.
The Egyptian people are accustomed to sitting next to the radio to listen to “Lasit”, when the star of the East sings “Umm Kulthum”, who has become part of Egypt’s Arab entity. When she visited us here, she received an unusual celebration, and today I remember her with our national celebrations, and beautiful coincidences want her theater to be in Al-Ahly Club in the capital, which is one of the teams that started and took off and formed the nucleus of other teams that were merged until it reached the name of the current Al-Wahda team, and we notice how it constitutes the national Arab obsession among our athletes, as most of the early teams had Arabic names that called for unity and union.
Two years later, the Egyptian Ismaili team visited us on its third visit, and played in Abu Dhabi. The meeting also continued with the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and the visits and exchange of teams began, which contributed to a strong relationship with beloved Egypt, which is what I wanted to do. I approach it from the humanitarian side, wrapped in the principles of loyalty and devotion, and the love and appreciation that binds us to all Egyptians. We love them, and today’s eyes are directed towards Egypt because it is the gateway to humanitarian work for our people in Palestine, and I wish it security, safety and stability, so that Egypt may live dear and strong, as it deserves this support and victory. In all fields, under the unusual circumstances that the Arab region is going through, and it became clear the depth of belonging that runs through the veins of Egyptians, and they set an example for all countries of the world, and from here, the late leader, the late late leader, God willing, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, taught us well. God bless him, that we love Egypt, and remain loyal to it, and God is behind the intention.
