The curtain came down a little while ago on the Egypt International Table Tennis Championship for male and female juniors, which was held in the Dr. Hassan Mustafa Halls Complex on the 6th of October, during the period between the 23rd and the 29th of this October.
The Egyptian team ranked second in the overall standings of the tournament behind the leading Chinese team, the Indian team came in third place and Uganda in fourth place.
Egypt ranked second with 12 medals, 3 gold, 6 silver, and 6 bronze medals.
The gold medals for the Egyptian national team were won by Marwan Gamal in the U-19 singles, Badr Mostafa and Maryam Younes in the U-19 mixed doubles, and Malak Zaki in the U-11 singles.
As for the silver medals, they came from Dareen Abdel Salam in the U-11 girls’ singles, Iyad Al-Ouz in the U-11s’ singles, and Marwan Gamal and Rua’ Al-Naghi in the U-19s mixed doubles.
Bronze medals were won by Maryam Younis in the U-17 and U-19 girls’ singles, Farida Badawi U-19 and Youssef Amr in the U-11, in addition to Jumana Abdel Shakour and Rodina Muharram in the U-11 and junior girls’ singles.
The Chinese national team came in first place with 19 medals, including 7 gold, 5 silver, and 7 bronze medals.
The Indian team ranked third with one gold medal.
The championship competitions concluded today, which were held during the period from the 23rd to the 29th of this October, and witnessed the holding of events under 11, 13, 15, 17 and 19 for male and female singles, in addition to competitions under 15 and 19 for mixed doubles.
