Sports media is an important part of the youth and sports movement, and it is a weapon that, if used in the correct manner with purposeful and constructive criticism, will be in our interest.
I say it with a full mouth, he is the true partner in sports decisions, and as the leaders of the sports movement say (there is no sports without media, and no media without sports).
I attended a brainstorming session on the upcoming Sports and Media Day at the World Media Congress, which will be organized by the Emirates News Agency next November, as a platform for innovation, creativity and artificial intelligence, in a professional manner that represents a major shift in the agency’s work in its new era. On the third day of the World Media Congress, its focus is on The real sports media is the one that aims for reform and is committed to credibility, but if it follows a different approach, it will cause obstacles and crises that have no beginning or end.
Some media outlets, and I repeat, some of them, have begun to focus on football only, and on excitement only, even far from the facts, which has caused disagreements between some members of the sports family, as some statements cause problems, and sometimes opinions come out that do not serve our sporting reality.
It is natural for us to keep in mind the importance of the media as a system in advancing sports, and the influence of mature journalism, not only at the local level, but also at the level of the Arab region. The time has come to develop sports media work, in order to preserve the gains that have been achieved.
From this perspective, we must give the sports media its due attention, and I was hoping that the media would have a fixed place in all sports bodies in the country, in order to carry out its duty towards this broad sector, and it must take its leading role in the march of the sports movement, in our endeavor to achieve Noble goals that contribute to raising the shares of sports and its achievements. Sports media is a soft power, and we must make good use of it… God is behind the intention.
