For several days now, the great journalist colleague Bahaa El-Din Atta has been lying in Section 5 of Rashid Hospital in Dubai, where he suffers from a health ailment that confined him to the white bed, praying to the Lord in these blessed days to grant him a speedy recovery and make his family and loved ones happy. He excelled in the coverage of horse races locally and in Europe, and he worked very sincerely, which deserves our attention, because the equestrian books issued by his specialized “people”, and among these was our dear colleague Bahaa El-Din Atta, the editor in “Al-Bayan”.
And who completed more than 40, journalism in the Emirates, before that age era, the colleague arrived from Khartoum, carrying with him a Bachelor of Arts in English Language, where he graduated in 75,.
He was looking for a job, and by chance, his first stop would be in Al-Nasr Al-Riyadi newspaper until the year 81, and after its publication stopped, he joined Al-Wahda newspaper, which was issued from Abu Dhabi, and worked with the giants of journalistic work, such as the late Iraqi Qutayba Abdullah and the late Bahraini Muhammad Ali Hussein. And the two unforgettable competencies from the memory of our journalism march, including “Al-Abdullah”, and Al-Wahda newspaper was a school in the seventies from which distinguished writers started.
He chose “Al-Bahi” as his colleagues call him, and equestrianism loves it to a degree that you can’t imagine. This exciting sport has achieved rapid spread, and our country has become at the forefront of countries, in terms of victory, organization and other achievements. I have dealt with my colleague Bahaa for the past 43 years. He is from the generation of values, always loves good for all his colleagues, stands with them and works 18 hours a day. He wrote a book, and covered hundreds of world horse championships and European endurance races, and specialized in them. He covered all events related to equestrian sport. He is truly an honorable front, who does not skimp on his effort and giving.
And throughout the period that we worked together, he was the last of the colleagues to leave the editorial hall, and even when he was on his annual leave, he would cut it in order to come to the newspaper, to do his duty, and even when he was outside the country, the colleagues would consult him, and I considered him the first journalist on the Emirati equestrian map, and the time has come And the occasion, that he finds the appropriate and appropriate appreciation, with what he presented, that the “King of Books” be an extraordinary star, as he is the professional man whom we are proud and proud of, in supporting culture, science and knowledge in equestrian sport, may God protect and preserve him, and we await his healthy exit to celebrate him as a beautiful person who loves Good for everyone around him
