Despite a barrage of kicks, UFC player Kamaru Usman, or “Nigerian Nightmare” as the British dubbed him, defeated British rival Leon Edwards, despite his prowess in his fighting style over five rounds to defend his welterweight title at UFC 286 in London.
It seems that the British fighter, who was scored by the three judges 48-46, 48-46 and 47-47 points in his favour, escaped from the Nigerian hell by clinging to the cage to avoid being dragged into the battle mat, which cost him the loss of points, which unleashed Osman by clamping down on him during the third round, Scoring many points, until the matter reached its climax in the fifth round, when Britain’s Edwards collapsed in front of the Nigerian Lion, to be crowned in the midst of a huge crowd of those present.
