In a pure sportsmanship that we are accustomed to with the Egyptian king and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, he praised the teenage player Stefan Bagcetic for being the best player in the team since the beginning of this season, especially after Bagcetic shone in the Everton match, which ended with Liverpool’s victory with two goals to nothing, which was held at Anfield, and was crowned Bagcetik, 18, won the Man of the Match award after his brilliance as a midfielder.
This came as soon as he rose from the Under-18s stage to the first team, outperforming players who have won the Champions League with ease.
“He’s a great player and person, always trying to work hard,” Salah says. “Since he started playing with us, he’s been our best player, so we hope he keeps that confidence and continues to do so.”
For his part, Bagcetic replied: To be fair, I played in a different position, I thought it would be less comfortable but it was good and I enjoyed it a lot. Mo Salah is probably one of the best players ever in Liverpool’s history, so it’s nice to hear a legend say that to me.
He added: “I won more confidence by playing at Anfield in two games, and it’s crazy, I was playing under-18s a year ago, and now I’m playing at Anfield and this just happened in one year and I’m really enjoying it.”
