The German icon BMW M GmbH has added a wonderful model of special editions to its product range in the current year 2023, it is the new and exclusive BMW M3 CS high-performance car that combines the superior dynamic prowess and practicality of the M3 saloon.
With its intelligent lightweight design, the new BMW M3 CS features carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) components, increased engine power and a bespoke chassis architecture. To give the skipper an exhilarating performance and to give the new BMW M3 CS a distinctive character of its own.
The new BMW M3 CS is powered by a 550-hp in-line six-cylinder engine, mated to an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission and the intelligent M xDrive all-wheel drive system. To achieve amazing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, while the maximum cruising speed of the model is 290 km/h.
A straight-six engine that produces 550 horsepower
The new BMW M3 CS features a carefully modified version of the high-revving six-cylinder in-line engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology, developed for the BMW M3 and BMW M4. The modifications resulted in a maximum output of 550 bhp, a significant upgrade to 40 bhp at peak output over the BMW M3 Competition Saloon.
The power boost is achieved by the M TwinPower Turbo. The modifications primarily include increasing the maximum charge pressure of the two single-scroll turbochargers from 1.7 to 2.1 bar, and making some model-specific tweaks to engine management.
A specially designed engine mount, with increased spring rates, is also designed to create an extremely rigid connection between the power unit and the bodywork. This results in sharper engine response and a more direct transmission of its power to the drivetrain. A maximum torque of 650 Nm is produced between 2,750 and 5,950 rpm, and maximum output is reached at 6,250 rpm. The motor speed is up to a maximum of 7200 rpm.
