Qatar aspires to build the first building block for stadiums dedicated to the game, in preparation for hosting the Sevens World Cup during the coming period, as the Qatari Federation is studying allocating one of the World Cup stadiums to hold these events, within the framework of the country’s preparations to host the 2030 Asian Games, with the possibility of hosting the 2036 Olympics as well.
Therefore, the Qatari government is making great efforts to embrace the Rugby Sevens game, with an aura of infrastructure and popularity that contributes to the success of all future tournaments.
The world witnesses the holding of the Sevens World Cup every four years, as Fiji won the men’s competition, while Australia hosted the women’s championship, while the World Riders Federation has not announced the host country for the 2026 tournament yet.
