It has become necessary, while we live in the euphoria of pride and joy in the miraculousness and historical achievement of the Moroccan national team, led by the great national coach Walid Rekragui, to recall from our memory a similar Egyptian experience whose hero was the great Egyptian national coach, Captain Hassan Shehata, the maker of the golden generation of the Egyptian team and the owner of the historic treble in the Nations Championship He is the only coach in the history of Africa to have achieved the African Cup of Nations three times in a row with the Pharaohs, and this achievement, in my view, is not far from the achievement achieved by the great coach Walid Regragui so far in the 2022 World Cup in the State of Qatar, to be the only national coach in the history of Africa, which reaches the semi-finals in the World Championships, and the Moroccan national team is also the only team in Africa and among the Arabs to achieve this achievement.
In the same context, the question arises: Is there a relationship between the Egyptian experience, which was previously led by Hassan Shehata, and the Moroccan experience, which is now being ably led by Walid al-Rakraki? And was Walid Al-Rakraki chosen with a concept that combines a national coach who carries a patriotic heart and leaves an impact on the hearts of his players, provided that this national coach has a mentality that keeps pace with and absorbs the technical and tactical developments in the world of football?
In the same context, an important question also arises: Is it time to choose a professional sports administration that has the ability to create and innovate and has a number of methods and methods in order to achieve what our beloved Egypt aspires to in the field of football, which is the first popular game in Egypt? Has it now become worthy of us, when we have a player the size of Mohamed Salah, one of the best players in the world, to invest that in achieving the ultimate collective goal, which is to bring our national team to the world, as happened with the Moroccan national team now?
In the end, “If earlier we needed a national coach with the mentality of Hassan Shehata, now, after this unique Moroccan experience, we need a national coach with the mentality of Walid Rekraky.”
