Just a month before the Formula 1 Grand Prix kicks off in Abu Dhabi, talented UAE International Karting Champion Rashid Al Dhaheri became the first Arab driver to reach the World Scouting Finals of the Ferrari Drivers Academy (FDA).
The 2022 FDA World Scout Final is the pinnacle of all young racing drivers, with the final stage taking place at Ferrari’s headquarters on Via Enzo Ferrari in Maranello, Italy.
The World Scout Finals winner will join the prestigious Ferrari Drivers’ Academy, the oldest and most famous Formula 1 academy in the world.
The academy’s latest stars include Charles Leclerc, the unforgettable legend Jules Bianchi as well as Sergio Perez, Mick Schumacher, Lance Stroll and Juanio Zhou.
Talented Emirati champion Rashid Al Dhaheri will spend the last week of October with five other young competitors at the Ferrari factory in the racing department within Ferrari in Scuderia, Italy, where he will be examined and evaluated by several specialists at Ferrari Academy as part of a series of tests to assess his physical and behavioral abilities. In addition to his mental abilities to withstand a rigorous racing life, both on and off the competition circuit.
Young Emirati champion Rashid Al Dhaheri will also participate in simulation sessions and participate in tests at the famous Fiorano circuit – Ferrari race track – on the wheel of a Formula 4 car.
At the end of the week, Ferrari engineers will decide who will be allowed to join the academy, undergo a nutritional and drug program and start a difficult program with one goal: racing for the wild horse in Formula 1.
