“If it’s too late, no one’s voice is of any use.” is an Arabic proverb. It can be applied to the state of regret and reproach that gripped Muharraq and Riffa after they tasted defeat and the heat of it following their exit from the semi-finals of the most expensive cup. What was said by their fans and supporters, and justifications that illogically do not accept.
Two semi-finals were built on small details generated by egregious individual mistakes, and others by unforgivable technical mistakes. We should not deny the right of the two teams, Al-Khaldiya and Sitra, to win, because they worked hard for it and armed themselves with determination and persistence, administrative and technical work. Rather, it would be foolish to say that Sitra’s victory was a surprise.
In the first semi-final between Sitra and Riffa, the balance between the defensive and offensive states was the title of the winning team. His victory did not come as a surprise; rather, he repeated what he did during the holy month. The team was created and challenged by the Tamouh company, and the Sitra fans joined in that challenge and welcomed it. Al-Riffa, the loser, missed the opportunity to reach the final. Even if it is too late, nothing matters. He did not benefit from the mistakes of the Ramadan defeat, even though his rival played in the same way and style. However, the lack of preparation and focus caused him to miss the opportunity. This loss should not pave the way for an ongoing complex. In the classic, Al-Dheeb suffered a one-off loss to Al-Khaldiya, remaining betting on what remains of his bet on regaining the league shield, which he leads. This loss must be studied, because one blow hurts, the other hurts, and fatal mistakes should not shake Al-Dheeb’s lead in the league. Al-Khaldiya continues to strive for the title and will not give its rival Sitra the chance to surprise him. Because his victory over Al-Dheeb was not only due to the latter’s egregious mistakes, but rather mistakes that were generated by the speed of the rapid offensive approach that Ashour adopted to spread a state of confusion in the souls of the defenders and open gaps that generated mistakes.
