The UAE Journalists Association organized a dialogue session entitled “Gulf Insights”, on the occasion of its Silver Jubilee celebrations, with the participation of an elite group of Gulf media professionals and specialists.
During the session, opportunities for cooperation in the fields of security, sports, sovereign funds, tourism, and digital media were discussed, with an emphasis on the importance of enhancing integration between the Gulf countries.
The session was moderated by Dr. Mohammed Al-Arimi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Omani Journalists Association, with the participation of Dr. Dhafer Al-Ajmi, a specialist in digital media, sports media professional Mohammed Al-Joker, journalist Issa Al-Amiri, Dr. Khalid Al-Daghim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Tourism Media Association, and media professional Mohammed Al-Mubarak.
It discussed the role of sports in enhancing Gulf cooperation, explaining that it is one of the priorities of the Gulf government agenda.
Praising the pioneering experiences of the Gulf countries, starting with Qatar organizing the 2022 World Cup, to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosting the 2034 World Cup, in addition to organizing the Gulf Cup tournaments.
He considered that sports represent an effective means of human and civilizational communication between the peoples of the Gulf.
